Ian Finnan joined Nearshore in 2018 as a Senior Field Technical Engineer and today is Director of Field Services. With a foundation of 5 years of experience in the Royal Navy, Ian has over 18 years in the offshore industry. He is fully certified in all areas of VSAT and Cellular Communications network, hardware, and service support. In addition to his lengthy Certifications allowing him to support customers remotely and on-site globally, his expertise includes Seatel, Spacetrack, Intellian, and Orbit VSAT equipment, as well as Iridium, Cisco, and other systems. Ian is based in Scotland with a remit to support Nearshore Field Engineers globally and standing at the ready to hop a flight to help customers on-site himself when required.
